Soft Scrub® 4-in-1 Toilet Care- Review + Giveaway!

I am Purex Insider, which means that I am able to try and review products for free and host giveaways for my readers. I love being an Insider because Purex is a brand that I already use, because it is low-cost and worked well for our clothes. I like being able to share their new products because they are products I really use, even without the free samples.

Sometimes as an Insider I get to review products from other brands as well. I was able to try the new Soft Scrub® 4-in-1 Toilet Care for free in order to review it and get to host a giveaway for you all!

All you need to do is attach the product to the toilet in an area that allows the water flow to touch it when flushing. My favorite part about this product is that it does the work with each flush. I like to have a fresh-smelling bathroom and knowing that it is working even when cleaning is the last thing I want to do.

I think the only downside is that my toddler can detach the cleaner easily and that worried me. After catching him in the act, he stopped, but it is still a concern I have. I think it may have worked better if it was more securely attached.

Aside from that, my bathroom has smelled fresh (no easy feat!) since using Soft Scrub® 4-in-1 Toilet Care.

3 Frugal Teacher Mama readers will have the chance of winning a free Soft Scrub product to try at home! Enter below :)

Menu Monday- Quick and EASY

With the week ahead of me- Quick and EASY is something I need to chant over and over again. It may not be creative. It may not be repinned at all- but it'll keep my family fed and that's really the ultimate goal of making a Menu.

I plan to make a roast (since buying 1/4 beef we have a lot to pull from) with veggies cooked in the crock pot.

I hope that this will stretch to two meals, by making Beef Stroganoff with the leftover meat and serving it over pasta. Having 2 meals with 1 night of work is really how to get an easy meal.

I also plan to make Chicken stir fry. With a rice maker, the rice cooks itself, and by putting the chicken breasts in the crock pot with teriyaki sauce, it it a really easy meal. Just add frozen veggies and call it dinner.

I think we'll also do some tacos (either beef or chicken) and beans for another meal that is also a crown pleaser.

And the round it out- the ultimate of easy meals: Spaghetti. Add in some bread and a salad and it almost feels like you tried. Almost.

Like I said, nothing fancy or fantastic, but it will feed us and that's the goal ;)

I promise you- I'm still here!

It's the end of the school year, which meant a lot to me last year when I graduated- but still means that the next few weeks will be really busy!

I was camping with the Troop last weekend, then started the week running.

This weekend we took a zoo trip with the Troop after also working for a Veteran's luncheon the day before. Add in dinner with the in-laws and I need a weekend to recover (again).

This week does not appear to be a break.

Monday: My baby will graduate from a Tiger Cub to a Wolf Cub as well as try to get the paperwork from our Scout Service Unit.

Tuesday: I have a Webinar to watch bright and early, then the IEP meeting for my daughter, and ending the evening with an all-troop meeting.

Wednesday: My daughter has further testing to see if we can figure out what is going on with her processing.

Thursday: After work, I go back to work for a carnival (where I'll be working a booth).

Friday: I sleep. After work, that is.

All of that is in addition to working each day, feeding the family, homework/housework, and possibly adding a second job. I'm trying not to feel completely overwhelmed by the week ahead. I know that won't help at all- but put all out there in black and white makes it seem like a lot.

The good thing is that I have a little over 2 "weeks" of work (11 days, though 2 I'm out of work!), but then the warp speed of summer will begin.

I hope I keep up. Thank you for being patient with me, I feel like I get to handling everything just in time for something to knock me off my roll.

Combat Ant Killing Bait Strips- Review + Giveaway

I am happy that the weather seems to finally be warming up, but when that happens it seems like the outside pests come in.

We've noticed this problem really badly at my Sister-in-laws. She had ants everywhere, and since she watches my son, I didn't want him to have bugs all over his stuff. I also worried about where to put any ant bait because I didn't want him to get to it.

I was so happy to be picked as a Purex Insider to test out the Combat Ant Killing Bait Strips for free. I felt like this could solve the ant problem, while also keeping it out of the way. There is no mess with these, since you attach the strips anywhere you can stick the adhesive back, and they begin working at killing ants within hours.

I loved how easy they were to apply, we put them in the problem areas (like the pantry shelves) but did not have to worry about the bait strips making a mess.

The true result was that my sister-in-law said they have not seen as many ants since putting out the product. She still sees some stragglers, but this is so much better than constantly throwing away their pantry items because they've become ant infested. I'm so glad this worked, because I feel better about my toddler being there and not around anything harmful. The Combat Ant Killing Bait Strips are out of his reach!

One lucky Frugal Teacher Mama reader will get to sample these for free as well! Enter the contest below and specify if you'd like to try the Ant strips or the Roach strips if you win!

Wisdom Wednesday: Crayola's Big Colorful Birthday Adventure

If you check most school supply lists, you will likely see a request for crayons, but not just any crayons. Crayola crayons. These are a favorite for teachers because they are true to color (which is important when working with younger ones learning to identify colors) and work well in the classroom.

Crayola is celebrating their 110th birthday party, and they wanted me to let you know that the original 8 crayons are throwing a birthday bash. Because I'm posting about it, I get to celebrate with them and get a limited edition birthday party pack, but you can join the celebration too!

Like Crayola on Facebook and you can enter to be one of the first in line for the new Crayola Experience.
The new Crayola Experience features four floors of new interactive exhibits and one-of-a-kind attractions that will bring the magic of color and your child's creativity to life! The winner will be among the first to experience the fun, along with a three- night, all-expenses paid stay. It's an experience your kids will never forget - and neither will you!
It sounds like it will be fun for everyone! I've already entered!

*Disclaimer: Information was provided by Crayola for promotional purposes. I will be send a party pack for my participation.

Save it Saturday: Shoparoo

I love the different apps that are available for saving money, but this one really makes me happy because it benefits my child's school- without having to clip special labels or buy over-priced fundraiser items. I feel like it is a win/win because all I need to do to help their school is to shop as I normally would- and take a picture.

Using Shoparoo, you just take a picture of your receipt after shopping at certain types of stores. These stores include Supercenters, grocery, club, pet, dollar stores, convenience and drug stores. You submit that picture, and you're ready to roll. They will process it and based on your dollar amount and how often you submit pictures, your school is awarded points they can turn in for cash.

You also get to refer friends (even if they support a different school!) for points. The links above are my referral links (so that my kids get a  little boost for their school), but you are able to join and support your own school.

Like I said. Win/win ;)
